    Goat hill

How do I get in touch with Goat Hill? Are they still around? They are not in the driveline anymore.

    Thanks

Unless you have the ability to buy the product at a meet like Carlisle and get the part IN HAND AT THAT TIME, don't bother!

Living in Long Beach, CA I've tried to help several NCRS members - Goat Hill won't deal with anyone in person at their physical location. It is mail order only.

Deal with them at your own risk !

          Jeremy,
Ask the question - I'm looking for . . . and who is good!

            Any Vendor...

carry his parts or you solely lock into him?

              Re: Goat hill

I'll assume this is related to your other post about finding a '58 fuel pump. I have never heard of anyone who actually got parts from Goat Hill being dissatisfied with them, but you will find many tales (mine among them) about trying to get from him what you've already paid for. I would recommend, as others have, that you buy from him in person at a show when you can take the item you purchased home with you. He frequents many of the major Corvette swap meets. In years past, he has had a vendor space at the upcoming Corvette Expo (formerly in Knoxville, TN; now in Sevierville, TN). Zip Corvette Supply and Paragon Corvette Supply are both reputable vendors that handle these type of restored parts. They both have web sites with downloadable catalogs.

I bought a water pump from him, rude on the phone, pump came and was a newer pump reworked to look like an original, not original like described. I never bothered to confront him about it. I will never deal with him again.

I believe that Goat Hill is a supplier to several of the Corvette parts houses. Given Goat Hill's reputation for direct purchases, you would probably do well to buy from one of the parts houses who sell Goat Hill products. I may be recalling this incorrectly, but I think that Paragon carries Goat Hill's fuel pumps.

Had them rebuild a couple of 40083 pumps for me, paid them in advance and they were rebuilt - complete with dirt on castings. If it was not cleaned on the outside so what about the the inside? I am going to disassemble them and see what is really on the inside.
Would I have them do another pump for me - never in a million years. Their quality isn't up to my standards.
If you want to see pictures I will take some and post them, before I rebuild them again myself.

Goat Hill is usually at the Puyallup Washington Corvette Hi-Po swap meet, Feb 9/10, 2008. Cash in hand and take it with you.

This vendor comes up periodically on this board in a negative way.
Why do people continue to deal with this vendor?
I only need to get burned once by someone and then I learn to stay away and use someone else.
There are so many honest vendors out there why use someone who doesn't deal fairly with the Corvette community?

I ordered and paid for a coil for my 67 L71 in Oct 2006. After many calls and rude treatment I gave up and just wrote it off to experience. Much to my supprise a coil showed up last week, one year after I paid for it. There was a note thanking me for my patience. The coil looks good, but I haven't installed it yet.
