Touch-up Paint for a C6

Sorry to be asking questions outside the box for NCRS, however, is touch-up paint available for the C6 Daytona Sunset Orange color? Where would the best place to obtain it? Do Chevy / GM dealers handle it in small quantities for new car owners?

GM markets touch up paint in a little tube with a brush. a lot of dealers do not stock it because they need to buy in quantity.

So, does that mean some dealers might stock, or could order some touch-up paint if a customer requested? Or, where else would it be available?

I ordered mine by telephone through my local dealer. It arrived within a few days and it was a single small tube as previously mentioned. Jim

If you go to the Duplicolor web site you will find that they offer kits for all corvettes and certainly the C6's

Kent, Be careful as so often those little lipstick like tubes so often do not match. When my 04 GMC yukon was new I bought a tube to touch up a stone chip and the color wasn't even close. So I called the parts department and had them check the number of the tube they sent me and they say it was correct but it was a lighter shade of green. Your color is a tough one. I would have it done by a recon guy. JD

Hi Kent,

You might also want to check out www.Langka.com - they have a paint repair system that many have achieved excellent results with (I haven't needed to try it... yet). Even if you choose to go another route after applying the touch-up paint (e.g., wet-sanding followed by buffing and polishing), their website has tons of useful info about paint repair.

The GM parts list has two part numbers for daytona sunset orange (code WA633H):

Part number 12346548 0.5 oz. tube list price $9.65

Part number 12346549 spray can list price $11.57
