Is This Unusual

I spent the morning crawling around the car looking for some kind of documentation. Found nothing. I pulled the t top headliners out and noticed that GM was written on both t tops in white crayon. The car is a 68 with original paint and interior and probably the first time the headliners have been off. Is this normal?

I don't know about the "GM" but under mine are the job numbers.

The brother of the deceased previous owner told me that the car was used by GM in 68 and 69 as a promotions car and then auctioned off. I was hoping that this may have been some kind of indication of that. The car does have gunmetal interior. Mystery solved. Now I feel like a dumb a$$. Thanks Wayne. Mike

I have a 68 coupe and when I pulled my headliners off for preping the car for paint, they were also labeled GM in chalk.
Mine is a May 10, 1968 build date.
