As a production run Corvette (restored %100) and not a one off Corvette, what would be the rarest model year Corvette to own $$$ wise? 1953 or BB 67's , L88?, FI C1's ?. In the past it was having a 53 then FI C1's then 63's now 67 BB are hot. So if it was to be your last Corvette and only ONE Corvette what year would you wont $$$ wise? Or rarity wise?? Or just fun wise that brings back memories. You can also give the answer to all three!

Roy----
I'd say, dollarwise, the "top dogs" are going to be ORIGINAL 1967 L-88 and 1969 ZL-1. Which one? Who knows? The very few of these that exist often don't have sale prices reported when they change hands. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Just asking
Well, most of the other cars can be faked. However, the one unique car that cannot be faked is the 63 coupe. I kick myself a hundred times a year for passing up a 25000 mile 63 coupe 15 years ago because the original carpet smelled musty. It was the first car I looked at.

Re: Just asking
Roy,
In my case value or rarity had nothing to do with it.
My dream car from age sixteen was a 1957 Corvette.
I had other Corvettes over the years but will keep the 57.

Re: Just asking
Fun wise it would be to have my first Corvette, a 64 convertible, factory air conditioning, white/red interior, 4 speed with a 3:08, 327/300, and no power steering or power brakes. Bought it in 1968. Just did not own it long enough having to go overseas in the military. I rebuilt the motor installing a Crower hydralic cam. Loved the sound with the top down going through the gears coming through the great sounding glass pack mufflers. Never raced or abused it, did get to drive it from San Diego to the east coast and back to Dallas before selling it.- Top

Re: Just asking
Nice to hear stories of the Corvette you would have if you had one choice ! I've had many but when it comes down to one I love owning and driving my 55 Corvette. The body lines of the first design Corvette , first V8 power, and the one year Corvette vary few people even see at NCRS meets .The NCRS's-JM's that has the least amount of info for a 55.
Love seeing other Corvettes but rarely see a 55 on the road , even at Corvette meets.
%99 of any one asking about my Corvette assume it's a 54 , surprisingly few don't realize GM made a 55 V8 Corvette,I hearing many people saying (look the owner took the 6 out and added a V8 engine).
You also must have many stories about your year Corvette?

Re: Just asking
Probably top dollar wise for a production car would be 1967 L-88 model, rarest would be 1969 ZL-1 and most fun, pleasant to drive would be the 1971 LS-6, will run on todays 91 octane fuel just fine with gobs of power on tap.- Top

Re: Just asking
A '67 roadster, both tops, BB with auto, air, aluminum wheels, side pipes, power windows, power steering, power brakes (all options, in other words). How many of those were produced? 20? BTW, I really look forward to see your memorabilia.- Top

"Watch out for the ZR-2 car with its 454. Now if I could just snag one of those, thats what this old boy would want."
Kelly,
Our national judging chairman will sell you one, and it will only cost you a 1/2 mil.
