    Eastwood's Liquid Chrome or Equal

I am thinking about chroming an air cleaner housing for my '73. I saw this product in Eastwood's catalog and am wondering if it would be a subsitute for going to the local plater. Also need to rechrome my front grilles so this would be used for them also.

    Roger,

There is no substitute for chrome plating. The Eastwood liquid chrome is just a spray paint. Despite the advertising claims, no paint will ever look like chrome or any other plating finish. It may be silver and shiney, but it will always looks like paint. If you want it to look right, there is no substitute for proper chrome plating. Just my opinion.
