follow up to 70-77 rocker moldings

I contacted Ano-Brite, Inc. in North Hollywood, CA and they will re-annodize these. Depending on how much damage is done to them, it will run in the $500 to $600 range. Their web site is www.anobrite.com and he lists himself as the "King of Trim". I am looking to do mine this winter.
Thanks to all for the help.
    Jeff

Jeff, Take a look at eBay item #190151332292, an original RH rocker molding with tab and 190151336029, a LH GM replacement rocker molding without the tab. Picture's show the difference between them. Dave

Dave, Thanks, I do know the difference. I have the ones with the tabs on my car. The problem has been finding new ones with the tabs, hence the desire to find someone to refinish them. I can get the repo' without the tabs for less than $300 and they go last night for over $800.

Jeff, I figured you did know the difference, I thought it may help others, reading the post, actually see the difference between an original and a replacement or reproduction 70-77 rocker molding. Dave

            Jeff,

Dr. Rebuild has LH NOS Moldings for $250, so if you buy the original one on e-bay, you can have a nice set for $450-500 and still have your original mouldings.

John, This is where I almost messed up originally. Just because it is NOS does not mean that it has the tab. 1974 was the last that the tabs were made by GM. They continued to make them without the tabs until 1980. The question would be does Doc's have the tab or are they service replacement.
Once again, it amazes me how much I have to learn about these cars. Thats the fun, as long as it doesn't cost me a bundle in the learning process, but thats where you guys come in. Ask first, right?
