    63 dash pad removal

    hi i have started a boddy off resto on my 63 swc
    and started with the interior and now want to remove the dash pads
    but i cant figure out how these retainers work

    i tought i would better ask first before its to late

    Sander,these are simple just push a flat bladed screw driver between the two metal edges and give it a good twist until the edges seperate from each other. As a general statement you will not be able to use these retainers as they have a tendency to break in half. If their is a tool out there that makes this easier I am not aware of it. I will be watching to see how other folks do it. Good luck with your car.

      Agree with the slot screwdriver method. The clips are usually good for at least one reuse.
