    69 body mount finish

    I have the left front fender off of my 69 coupe. The firewall body mount is very acessable with the fender off. I thought I should detail the body mount with the fender off. What is the finish of this mount? It appears to be painted black. What would be the correct sheen ( semi gloss, semi flat, gloss or flat). It appears that the brackets were painted before they were riveted to the body so I will carefully mask the rivet heads. Any help is appreciated.

      Satin black with natural aluminum rivet heads.

          Paint the whole bracket and then use a "Q" tip and some lacquer thinner to carefully clean the rivet heads. Much easier than masking the rivets....
