    66 Back up switch

I am working on a 66 with back up lights and I can't get them to work. Tried two new switches, the have new bulbs, even took off the linkage to the reverse lever and tried it manually, no luck. What else should I look at? The plug and the wiring look fine. Any thoughts?

    Thanks

You, could have bent or oxidized contact pins in the engine harness plug-in on the firewall...

      Jeremy -

Have you checked the switch (at its pigtail connector) for make/break continuity across the terminals as you move the lever through its travel? Have you checked the connector on the firewall it plugs into for power on the pink wire's terminal and backup light function when you put 12V on the green wire's terminal?
