C2 Color of frame stencil?

Corvette Central is specifying white dye for the passenger frame stencil. Noland Adams specifies red dye in his restoration manual. Which is correct?

For 67 I know that the color is white. I believe that to be true for all C2s, but I could be mistaken.

When you apply the paint for the stencil use a roller instead of a spray can. The factory used a roller and some judges check for this (don't ask me how I know that....).
