Need a recommendation on repro factory type side exhaust pipes for my 69BB. I am interested in most correct sound/fit/appearance. Any thoughts on Corvette Central? Allens? Sweet Thunder? Others? Thanks, Tom

Don't know which of todays suppliers would be best. I had the 69 Corvette style side exhaust on my 70 for years. Went through two sets of mufflers I bought from GM. The last set was on the car long enough that there was nothing left inside the shell after years of use. Made some noise, having factory air and keeping the windows up helped. When the muffler shells developed holes I went back with the under the car exhaust,but installed the 2 1/2 inch system like which came on my 68. Have always wondered what a side exhaust system would sound like if the front part of the pipe design was used and two quality in line glass pack mufflers made the rest of each side and using the end of the factory style pipe.
