C2 Hard Top Only Decklid question

The fella that ordered my 63 new informed me that he ordered the car without a softtop. Because the car now has a softop added, I've been looking for a "hardtop only" decklid for judging purposes.

One of my favorite people located the items in the photo at Carisle this year and I have a question regarding the correct configuration.

These are claimed to be NOS panels but the inner panel has the cutouts required for the soft top retaining bezels. Is this how they were provided by the supplier, or should the cutouts be absent from the inner panel of a correctly configured hard top only deck lid ?

Anyone have one for reference?

tc - only limited opinion here... I believe C1's..

(56/62)with hard top only have the cut out on the inner panel - I surmise used as a guide for the boys at the factory to tell them where to cut for the soft top.

Did this continue into C2 land...???

My 64 is a hardtop only car. The cutouts are visible on the underside.

frames have cut-out, skins lack cut-out. mike

I have an original hardtop only deck lid in my spare parts that has the cutouts in the frame but not the outer skin.
