Help from you veteran road racers

Have any of you ever seen a set of road racing wheels for a Corvette or Camaro that look like Minilites, except the center section of the wheel is bolted into the outer rim? There is an actual bolt on the backside of each spoke that attaches to the outer rim of the wheel, supposedly to accommodate different backspacing requirements. The outer rim appears to be aluminum and the inner (spoke) section could be magnesium. I've never observed any wheels like this. Just curious. I was looking for a set of Minilite or Torque Thrust magnesium wheels from the late 60s or early 70s like used on the Greenwood and other racing Corvettes from that era and ran across these. Thanks in advance for your help.

Not seen any like that but perhaps someone put the wheels in a lathe and took off the rim then drilled the bolt holes and used several different 2 piece rims to make up the wheels. For very good copies of Mini Lites go here I have a set on my car and they are a great copy. GL

I have had Panasports too and they are also a fairly good replica of a Minilite but not as accurate as the superlite wheels and are quite a bit more expensive too.
