Approximately what VIN number constitutes early/late 1971 for (a) tail lights and (b) leather seats. I saw a 6,0xx serial number 1971 that has the 1972-style tail lights and seats and the front lights had the holes for the headlamp squirters with no nozzles. I can get the exact VIN number if anyone is interested. BTW, the car has the saddle (dark, nearly brown) leather interior.

The pointed type tail light lenses came in about #8000vin in 1971. I wouldn't say that a 6,xxx wouldn't have them. It is very common to see holes for the headlite washers to appear on 71s after #3600 without the nozzels up to approx. #13000vin. The vertical pannel seat covers in leather(black and saddle only)appear on 1970-late 1971.The code on the trim tag should be #420. Late 71 and all 72s had horizontal leather pannels.
