    AC

I still can not get my fan to blow on High speed, I put in a new blower and then I put in a new fan switch and the blower will still not blow real high. The other day the blower was blowing on high. But I went over a rough section of rail road track and it went off. The other speeds work fine, I put in a new blower motor and today an new Delco switch, and the same thing lower speeds no high I give up what is it?.

Kelly - Many (Most) of the AC systems have a high speed blower relay. Do you know if your system has one and have you checked it? Pete

        Re: AC

If by "box outside next to the blower" you mean the evaporator assembly, look for a typical cad plated relay housing on the front of that "box". I don't know what year class you have, but I believe that's where it is on C3s. It will be just inboard of the big aluminum tube that comes out of the front of the evaporator.

                Re: AC

It's not worth checking...the symptoms you describe (low speeds work but high speed is intermittent or non-existant) indicate the relay has reached the end of its useful life. The typical fix is to simply replace the relay and watch your problems evaporate!

But, just for grins, unplug the harness connector at the relay and make sure you don't have a simple loose/oxidized contact problem. That's the exception rather than the rule on these puppy dogs though. They get 'flakey' when they reach the end of their useful economic life and ultimately fail altogether...

Kelly don't know about your year of C3, but my 70 has a inline fuse that is only for the high speed function of blower motor. If the fuse blows, no high speed. My inline fuse is easily seen under the hood and comes from a connection on the horn relay.
