    '66 327/300 Oil Pressure

My 327/300 has only a few hours on the rebuild and I am running 10w30. The pressure is still reading 60 psi at cold idle and 45 psi at hot idle. After reaching operating temperature the pressure goes to 60 psi at about 2000 RPMs. I confirmed these readings on two different gauges.

I know from the archives and the technical manuals that this reads like a high performance pump and I need to change the relief spring. What is the correct GM part number for cross-reference and how do I identify it?

    Thanks, Doug

With your email help I found the earlier discussions and GM Part 3814903 by Joe Lucia and others. The local Chevy dealer had to order the spring from a Santa Barbara warehouse, but it will be here by the end of the week.
