67 seat track lever

What is the correct finish of the seat track adjusting lever for a 67? The ball is chrome and I can see no evidence of paint on my "thought to be original" seat track levers although some have said it should be black. Thanks, Tom

Nope. The tracks were in good shape, so all I did was shopped around until I found a paint that closely matched the original color.

Here is a photo of original track ready for paint and after....

Paint is Krylon Ultra flat olive drab.......
