Silicone spray, put a little on a rag and wipe it on the weather strip. A little excess is o.k. and it will last quite awhile.Tom

Yes, liquid silicone lubricants work best. Apply once a year, and do it as part of your storage prep if you store your Corvette during the winter months.

I use GM Silcone Dielectric Grease (#12345579). Apply and "skim" it out to coat the weatherstrip. You can wear a surgical glove if you want, to spread the lube. I find it works great, especially on convertible weatherstrips to prevent door glass from sticking in hot weather. Lasts a long time since it more dense and will not evaporate.

              All,

What does the grease or liquid silicon do to the windows? Do you find that you continually need to wipe them off at the top where they make contact with the lubricant?

                Dielectric grease

I also have used GM dielectric grease, based on Joe Lucia's recommendation, and I've been very happy with it.

Works for me on Speedo/Tach cables too.

I have used all the above mentioned products at one time or another. All seem to work. I have settled in on Aerospace Protectant 303 lately. Less mess than silicone and easier application. 303 has more uses on the car also.
