1964 Mirror Date Code

I'm trying to help a friend determine if the date codes on his new 1964's outside mirror are correct but even with all of the material I have I can't seem to find anything on them. Can someone give me a refresher on mirror date codes please?

Tom,

I believe it is "Month" DMI "Year"...DMI is the mirror and/or glass manufacturer. My January assembled 1965 has an original 11 DMI 4 sideview mirror, which I beleive translates to Nov. 1964...hope this helps...and I am right

fyi, DMI = Donnelly Mirror Inc. (N/K/A Magna Donnelly) which still supplies GM with mirrors to this day.
