I ordered an upper radiator hose for an L79 engine from Paragon. Other than the part# on it, it looks identical in shape to the 300 h.p. hose. It also appears about 1/2" too short to fit correctly. Any thoughts?

What is the developed length of this hose?
I have the '66/300 HP hose also from Paragon (xxx7154). It is ~20" as measured along the blue stripe. The shape of both hoses should be very similar, but the L79 thermostat housing (xxxx369) differs somewhat in height and orientation from the base (xxxx660) outlet. -

Measured on the blue stripe, the hose is 16 5/8" in length. It seems like it should be atleast 1/2" longer to fit fully onto the radiator and thermostat housing, which is original.Comment

Measured one on my friend's original L79 this morning at a car show. 16-5/8" along the blue stripe. Fit well with plenty of female hose covering the radiator fitting and thermostat housing.

Thanks for taking the time to measure...I guess the incorrect hose previously installed covered the fittings more than necessary. I installed the new one and it does cover the fittings adequately.
