63 convertible deck lid

    63 convertible deck lid

    The judging manual, AIM and parts catalogs refer to alignment wedges on the deck and body. My 63 is early (2000 range)and has no evidence of these wedges ever being present on the deck or body; no holes, no repaired holes. Is this one of the evolving changes during 63?

    I have #859 I have no wedges at all, hood or deck lid. Evolving yes. So if you don't have them don't put them on. But get a few more post closer to your #2,000 Denny72

        Noland Adams gives a pretty good description...

        of the use of wedges in 1963. See page 98 of his Vol 2 book on restoration. Basically, they weren't there on early cars then changed over time (number used, wedge material used) based on style of car (coupe vs. convertible) and VIN....

              Both of them? C-1 and C-2
              I herd that C-2 was out of print 3 yrs ago,And also herd the demand was high and going to back into print.
