    67 seat track resto

Would like to restore the seat tracks for my 67. Is it possible to disassemble the 2 sections of track for replating?Gray phosphate? Also need to know the correct finish of the adjusting lever. Any recommended vendors for this? Thanks, Tom

It's doable. The tracks will come completely apart. There's a guy in California I've used before for phosphate plating on some Camaro and Corvette stuff (www.detailplating.com) that does very nice work. All of the parts needed to rebuild the tracks are available from Long Island. It's a pretty straightforward job. Mine were kind of tight due to the new plastic sliders but they came out nice and work perfectly.

There are others around with much more experience than me that might give you some additional advice.
