68 A -Arm's Shaft

What is the correct finish for a 1968 A-Arm shaft? Is it "natural" or the same semi-gloss black of the arm? Thanks.

Imstalled in the arm and painted as a unit.

The A-arms were assembled before paint so they'll be black as well as the bushings washers etc.

Are you guys sure about that?... I know that the C2's A arms were painted as an assy but I'm pretty sure that the C3's A arms were dip painted first and then assembled at least as far 69's go....maybe 68's were like C2's though.
