    C2 air filter screen configuration

I'm looking for pictures of an air filter screen that the foam wraps around for solid lifter/carb mid year, specifically 63-340 HP. A picture was shown to an owner of what it should look like at the Boston Nat.with the correct size holes in the screen. he recieved a deduction because it was not correct(what ever that is). i will post some pictures of what came with my NOS air cleaner assembly w/ filter and no AC embossed on it (have you ever seen one with the embossed AC?). Then the question is "was there ONLY one manufacture of this screen and filter". FWIW- Jim

Lour link is to the correct screen. The most noticable difference is in the size of the holes, and thus the number of holes, three full and two 1/2 holes one at the top and one at the bottom. The Reproduction uses three holes of larger diameter in the mesh pattern. The emboss was present in early originals, AC was the only supplier of the original items, I believe all made in a plant in Flint Michigan, (now defunct). FYI, the '64 and '65 250-300-350-365 hp screens are also the same as the one pictured.

I just posted a picture of what is believed to be the correct screen and the incorrect screen for viewing on the attached website.
