    57 body assembly

Is there a recommended order for assembling and adjusting the doors and windshield to the body on my 57? At what point should the hardtop fit be checked? Doors and windshield were test fit earlier but I'm looking for any tips that might help.
The soft top frame appears to have enough adjustments to fit it to the car after the other adjustments are made.
    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Re: 57 body assembly

I've not assembled a 57 so I only offer an opinion....

    Sequence of assy at factory.
    Body is built
Doors/hood/hatch cover are fit to body.
Body is painted with doors hood etc in place.
Windshield is then installed and fit to body/doors.
Top is installed later and fit to body/windshield/doors

Adjust the windows to fit the HT then adjust the soft top to fit the windows

That's exactly how it was done in production.

If the car did not have a hard top was it adjusted to the ST or was a "template" HT used for initial adjustment?
