    Body Shop

I am restoring a 63 split window coupe with my 4 sons. We are doing most of it ourselves except the body needs alot of work. One of the problems is that the mounting points...ie the bottom of the birdcage...is rusted and needs replacing. I know I need a real corvette, midyear expert to do this but do not know of one. Could anyone recomend one in the Tri-State (NY, NJ, CT) area. The car is in Westchester County NY.

    Thanks
    Randy

    Randy,
Try John Millar in New Oxford, Pa.. 1-717-624-4194. A little further out of your area (near Gettysburg) but certainly worth a phone call. Still a one man shop in this day and age.
    Regards,

The Corvette Specialty Center (184 Day St Newington, CT 06111 (860) 953-2994)
They have been repairing and restoring Corvettes for years. They were among the first to pioneer frame rail replacement in the early 1980s and did mine in 1984. They can't be too far away from you so give them a call...
