Is it possible to change out the rear driveshaft U-joint on an 89 with automatic transmission.... without having to remove the exhaust system....thanks for the help.

Rick my 85 and 96 Corvette service manuals say to remove the driveshaft remove the exhaust. I have speculated the idea if it would be feasable to unblolt the the driveshaft and unseat it and using a large C-clamp remove the u-joint. Not much space, however when I removed the u-joints from my 85's half shafts I was extremely surprised to find out how easy they were to remove from the aluminum shafts. If you find a way to change the rear u-joint without removing the exhaust let me know.
