Is this fuel pump a 4656 or ... ?(Pics)

    Hi,

I just picked this up at a swap meet today, is there anyway to tell if this pump is a 4656? I believe that several different AC fuel pumps used the same housing?

    Thanks for any help,

    Paul

        What does the stamp say?

I see no numbers on it anywhere. The only markings are AC on the very top and on the bottom as shown in the photos, as well as "AC made in USA" going around the bottom flange?

That sure looks like the item you're after. The PN '4656' should have been wacked on one of the four sides of the pump-engine mounting ear. They're typically on the lower, front facing edge, but the emboss process was done manually and position can/does vary...

Bear in mind that a number of pumps with different PN's are essentially identical with the exception of the specific orientation of the body to the upper pump housing (exactly where are the fuel line inlet/outlet alligned?)...

OK, I cleaned it up a bit and did find some small numbers on the rear facing edge of the flange. Looks like 110942JG or maybe M0942JG or 11694206...? Does the help?
It looks to e like the pump had been rebuilt at some point, but not used after.
              Thanks,
              Paul
