    freeze plug repair update

I finally had to go to a machine shop to get a brass plug as the local part stores only stocked the steel ones.

The brass went in really slick and looks cooler to than the cheesy steel ones. And it will never corode like steel either. And trust me, unless your idea of fun is moving your motor in and out of your car, this is not a job you want to do too often.

So the lesson learned was use only brass freeze plugs. Thanks for all the tips, men.

    Thanks for the report.

I have a dripping plug in the engine I installed in January. I appreciate the information. - Dave
