Re: C2 (1963) Quickie...Fuel Pump and Overspray
Collins, Hope you have the correct fuel pump and not the one with the frog pads on it. Many posts about this both on VH's and the DB here. Hurd they might be some nice overspray on the pumps though. Here's a good one that holds most of the time. If you see a 4657 FF pump or a 4657 suffix suffix pump on a 63 then you know its a service replacement and therefore should be treated as such when the car is judged. Sheet might say SR. I heard that at Marlborough the boys are looking for the fake pumps on the 63's for sure. My 63 has the real deal on. Plain old 4657 with no frog pads.
NO OVERSPRAY ON THE PUMP. Good luck at the show. Quit worrying-it's late. Put your pretty car on the trailer and relax. Have fun. John- Top

Thanks John...I have the real deal too, so I am not worried. Thanks for the info, I have some slight overspray I will have to clean up tonight....
Who me worry? Heck, I have corrected so many things from the last Regional in Boston last year, now they can make up a whole new list this year...isn't that how it works? Every time they seem to find different things, but hey the list each time does get smaller...
See you up at M-town, I hope to arrive Saturday later in the day....my daughter and grandkids live about 15 mins from the event....
FYI in North Framingham, about 20mins away on Saturday Night there is a big cruise in at Riley's Roast Beef....daughter wants to take me Saturday night, I alway like to see other cars, especially rods and customs....- Top
