Viagra and Corvettes

I just caught the tail end of a Viagra commercial on the 10 PM KTLA (LA Channel 5) news that featured a blue C1 - couldn't tell the exact year, but the quick glimpse I got indicated a '58 to '60. What's the deal here? I don't need no stinkin' Viagra, and don't know any C2s that do.

Does Viagra improve the performance of C1s? Do you put it in the gas tank or oil sump?

I think the only C-1'S that would need Viagra is the 53-54's. They are only hitting on six cylinders, not all 8..Tom

it has the chrome strips on the deck lid like

a 58 but the hood looks smooth like a later model. hell i am 73 and still don't need viagra. my viagra is on order.2008 430 HP C-6 6 speed coupe.

Maybe it turns a small block C1 into a big block C2. Would explain why there are so many original big block C2's.

Actually, I believe the drug is Levitra...it's been intruding into our airspace for weeks, and there have been earlier commercials for the drug along similar lines.

The theme is about spontaneity and choices...this drug permits more spontanaeity than the others. Given "spontanaeity" happens, would you like to continue doing something you really love to do (wash your Corvette), or would you like to do right now the thing you REALLY love to do.

The Corvette is a good example of a high priority choice for most guys, as well as sports...an earlier commercial for this product used a college football game; the guy set the game to record on his VCR and went off to the bedroom.

The actress playing the Corvette owners wife looked pretty sharp to me; but sorry, I could never leave a Corvette all "lathered up" and depend on a sprinkler to do a good job rinsing.

Wow...That must be New Viagra!...They've changed to the "good-for-the-whole-weekend-in-case-you-get-lucky formula"? My mistake...with the old Viagra, he'd have time to finish the wash, chamois it off, apply spray detailer, and detail the interior; forget the sprinkler.

Anyone Can Read...

About the latest advances in medicine in Time Magazine, Health section of the sunday papers etc., you can even watch the incessant drug advertising on cable.

They say you're only attuned to advertising when you have a need or interest. For example, if you're hungry, then every McDonalds, Burger King, and Applebee's commercial catches your attention. Maybe several of us, including Duke, have just now noticed those advertisements on TV because we wistfully daydream about checking into the emergency room with a "condition" lasting longer than six hours.

I noticed the Corvette out of the corner of my eye, so I refocused my attention to the TV and caught the Viagra angle. Then they said something about having a "condition" for more than four hours - see your doctor. You mean that's a problem!?

Vintage cars in commercials always catch my eye - like the four geezers in the old Mustang convertible who have to take a leak every five minutes. (I swear one of them was Clem. )

Advertising 101 - place a visual in the commercial that attracts the target demographic. If you're targeting guys over 50, a fifties or sixties vintage car will do the trick every time - like the subject Viagra commercial.

have a buddy here in western md who, upon hearng the drug co's pitch to "see your doctor if the erection lasts more than 4to6 hours" promtly responed with the following---"call the doctor hell, call the local high school cheelearders" . ---he won't be on the road tour to Boston. he's entertaining the locals. mike
