Can someone let me know if the "Tuned Port Injection" lettering on the body molding of my C4 was originally pure white? I've cleaned the lettering but it doesn't snapped back to pure white. Is there a cleaner that can help?

The lettering is dark silver/grey, and appears unpainted. Approximately the same color as the rocker panel lips. That is how they have always been on my '85. It is possible that the lettering was painted for '89. If not, then it seems like a prime spot for Picasso to personalize his Corvette by applying white paint. In the same genre as ground effects panels/rear wings/"Corvette" windshield banners/plastic wood dash inserts, etc, etc.
If it turns out that '89 is grey like '84-'86, then be very careful removing the paint.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if this lettering came white from the factory...apparently not. Oh, by the way...you forgot to mention the hanging dice from the mirror...who could ask for more!?!
