1972 LT-1 Alum. Valved Covers

What is the correct finish on these valve covers? Is it a polished look, dull or somewhere in between? Pics would be nice.

Look at the inside front cover page of Dobbins 1968-1972 Stingray Fact Book. There is a wonderful color engine bay shot of NCRS member Drew Papsun's '72 LT-1 coupe.

Recent replacements from Chevrolet are too highly polished. They must have refinished the dies or made new ones.
