What is the correct plating for a 1959 hood support and radiator cap? Is it white cad? Thanks, Jimmy

Jimmy - Check in the Owners Manual as it might indicated the plating on the radiator cap. Later ones do and they indicate the caps are zinc plated and I would expect the original 59 cap to also be zinc plated as that was the typical radiator cap plating. Cadmiun plating was not typically used. Pete
