    Brake calipers '65 building date? and ###

    My front brake calipers have the following ## with date can anyone please tell me what they mean???
    Inner Cal.# 5473795 Buildingdate 4107 Cast on
    Outher Cal.# 5473796 Buildingdate 23/J Stamped
    Inner Cal.# 5473795 Buildingdate 9/AF Stamped
    Outher Cal.# 1010 Buildingdate 8E25 Cast on.

    I know these are NOT matching ### but can anyone tell me where i can find Matching### calipers for my '65 Vette Buildingdate 17-Dec.-1964?????

    The first three are from 1973-82 vintage. I don't know what the 4th one is; perhaps an aftermarket casting.

    Some rebuilders like Lonestar Caliper and Vette Brakes will sell you a set of original casting number calipers (for an extra charge). All of your caliper halves should have casting numbers beginning with "546".
