67 Blue soft top.

I am looking for an NOS, excellent condition original or a very correct replacement blue softop for a 67. Does anyone have a sample of the material?

A friend got a teal top for his 67 from Al about 2 years ago.

At that time, he had to wait several months till Al got the teal material

SO....if he can get the material, he can make it. Give him a call.

Chuck, thanks and I will give them a call. I sure hope you are correct and the rumors are wrong. You would not happen to have a sample of a blue top would you? Just want to know what I a looking for. I have seen them over the years but never paid the type of material any attention. I assume it is just like the black and white ones just a different color.

That's correct. Just like the other tops, just a different color. Don't have a sample, as the car belongs to a friend, and he moved to Florida.

Al does not have the material and told me that he was not able to purchase anymore. I picked up one of Al's teal tops about 6 months ago from a vendor that had special ordered it from him several years ago and the buyer never came back to pick it up. Don't ask how much! It was not painless

I have a lot of Blue top experience. I have used a blue top on my car for almost 30 years. Blue material has become out of favor and is not generally being produced. On three occasions, I have found the material somewhere else and sent it to Al to make my tops. Funny, one time I bought it from Crown and sent it to Al to be done. However, I found that some of the stuff that I bought was very old, and did not last very long, so keep that in mind when buying material or old stock tops.

Agree with Wayne on aged material. A customer bought a top from me in the mid '90's and put it up. Brought the car to me in May to have the top installed. Oops! When we started to install the top, the lining inside started to tear. Was rotten.

The top was installed in January and the car went to Atlanta
