    Trim tag info requested again

Looking at my 1964 trim tag could someone tell me if the bottom numbers or letters is a date or possibly some other secret information? Possibly future lottery numbers I should chose...LOL

    Thanks,

    Craig Willetts

Re: Trim tag info requested again

    Craig,

Bear with me please if I am repeating stuff you already know.

The date is at the upper left, "K06", for July 6th for the St Louis plant in 64. For '65 on, K represented June instead. The S10750 indicates this is a St Louis body, rather than AO Smith, which also produced bodies up until July as well.

The number at the lower left, "490CB" represents the RPO for an "all vinyl interior", in "Saddle" color. "32" is a light saddle exterior color.

After all this, I noticed several characters below this information and perhaps these are the numbers you mean instead? They look like a "0", "7", "A" ? Sorry, I have no clue, but I am sure someone more expert on this stuff than me will have some insight.

      Craig,

I would go with the pick three lottery.

Could it be the delivery date stamped by the dealer ? July 4th perhaps?

Yup, it's the delivery date stamped by the dealer. They were "encouraged" to stamp it on the VIN plate, but very few did, and some stamped it on the trim tag; see them like this one occasionally.
