Ditto on Charlie... He just did a restoration on my 1965 belts and built me a new set for my 1963 (red). Just beautiful work.. and quick as others have said. Charlie is not into technology.... I met him in person (we also live in NJ) and from what I can tell, he does not even own a computer.... Give him a call 908-719-2354 He also does chrome work, very nice as well.

There is also Snake Oyl in Texas. (Seriously, just a strange name for your company!) They did mine. I don't know of others, so can't compare. One caution: If you belts aren't too bad, I was consider leaving original. The old belts are thick and stiff. My belts came back from Snake Oyl with a thinner, more flexible belt that I don't like nearly as well. It flops around a lot more and just doesn't seem to roll up in the as well. I was told by the guy at Snake Oyl that no one has the old webbing material, so everyone uses the thinner stuff now. Of course, he could have been blowin' smoke... Regardless, I'd ask about it before having them done by someone.

Charlie recently restored a set of belts for my 63 and I'm well pleased.

Charley just did my 69 belts, lap, shoulder and t-top straps. He did a very nice job. He worked with me in keeping everything original. My lap belts needed the webbing replaced, he did it with near perfect used webbing. He also sent me samples of the repro and used webbing before doing the work which made it much easier to decide after seeing the difference between the two. He's very good to work with and gets the job done in a timely manner.

I also used Snake Oyl. I sent my 67 belts to them in April and suppose to get them shipped back today. I had only heard of them and one other company that restored belts. When I called them in April they said their belts were up tp NCRS standards. I hope I'm not disappointed when I get them. I hadn't heard about the lighter gauge belts before, thanks for the heads up. It sounds like Charlie may be the way to go in the future.
