Can anyone provide some input on the correct headlight wiring harness clips for 1963 vehicles manufactured prior to 5-3-63. The 1963 AIM Sect 12 A4.00 shows that the clip prior to the 5-3-63 revision was clip part number 3768222. The revised metal clip 3799990 which entered into production after the 5-3-63 revision is the same clip that was used for all mid years all the way up to 1967 as evidenced by the 1967 AIM so we know these are not correct. However, I have not been able to find what the 3768222 clip that was used prior to the revision looked like. Several cars that I believe to be unrestored that I have examined had a black plastic clips. Anyone know what is correct??

I have observed the same black plastic tie on 63 headlamp harness. I can't tell you for sure because mine was apart and the front had been changed before me. Is the part # the same as the drivers side fender black plastic clip? My memory tells me that the AIM is a little hard to understand but now I will look again. Let me know your observations about this.
