Anyone know a supplier that carries these in plain steel(not stainless), as original?

I'd like to know who sells them in stainless. The originals are thicker than the usual washer.

What about using the stainless washers ang painting them a high-temp resistant, rust-colored brown? Do you think someone could get a magnet on them without having the magnet stick to the plain steel bolt head and exhaust manifold at the same time?

I'm sure you're right, they wouldn't be very detectable. Just thought since I'm buying them anyway, I'd try to find plain steel.
