'69 Engine Block Heater and Rear Window Defroster

The documentation for my '69 coupe shows it came equipped with the engine block heater and the rear window defroster. The block heater is interesting because I think only ~850 were equipped.

Anyways, does anyone know where I would look and what I would look for on the engine block heater?

Also, where would the rear window defroster contols and vents be located and what do they look like?

    Thanks.....Don

Re: '69 Engine Block Heater and Rear Window Defros

    Don-----

The engine block heater was installed in place of one of the driver side block freeze plugs (the most rearward one, I think). A cord went up to the driver side front corner area with a 110V male plug. I'll bet the line guys in St. Louis just hated it when one of the cars destined to receive this option came along.

The rear window defroster blower control is mounted on the small trim panel just forward of the forward console and on the driver side. The vents are located in different places depending upon whether the car is a coupe or convertible. For convertibles, the vents were located on the rear deck panel which opens to raise or lower the convertible top. On coupes, as I recall, the grille is on the left rear trim panel behind the driver.
