Re: Hey, I get 'bent over' daily, guys...

I suppose. Then again, I wasn't exactly "into" the Corvette scene in the late 60s. Into diapers is more like it.

GM (and customers) thought that dark green was the hot ticket back then. For the last 20 years those are the ones you can't give away!

Both Of You Guys Are Good Sports!

People like ya'll make this NCRS fun to be in. Snobs??!!...I must have my snob-filtering glasses on.

Indeed, personal taste in car colors do wax and wain. Black?!...It's making a comeback in modern times. In 2006, black was the MOST POPULAR Corvette color, or 21.3% of total production (snicker ). Black was followed by:

      Victory Red (17.2%)
      Monterey Red* (14.8%)
      Machine Silver (14.6%)
      Velocity Yellow* (12.1%)
      LeMans Blue* (10.2%)
Artic White (4.7%) (Better get the paddles ready for white! )

      *Extra cost color

Unfortunately it's LeMans Blue that's gone.
I had all the colors and options picked out for my new care and they CANCELLED the color!!!

          No "Jetstream Blue" For You?!

The 2005-2007 Lemans Blue didn't bear much resemblance to the 68-69 Lemans Blue; the C6 color was much darker. But, the new Jetstream Blue does remind me of 65-66 Nassau Blue. It WILL be lighter than LMB...wait and see it in person; maybe not too bad.

Yeah, progress marches on...Monterey Red is history too after 2+ years. Magnetic Red managed to bridge two generations in 12 reincarnations (formulas).

            Well, Mebbe Not So Fast...

I don't know where I got the idea it looked like 65-66 Nassau Blue...it must have been a small sample in bad light. See Jet Stream Blue here:

Re: Well, Mebbe Not So Fast...

Call me nuts, but I wanted LMB with a red interior. No way JSB is going to work with red. I've got to rethink the whole color scheme now.

                OK by me

Thanks for the link Chuck. Makes me glad I have JSB on order. It ought to go well with Mulsanne Blue. Now if only they would make a bright blue interior.

                  Re: OK by me

Both of the new 2008 colors (Crystal? Red, Jet Stream Blue), as well as Atomic Orange from 2007, seem to have some kind of strange intrinsic inner illumination...they seem to glow from the inside out, if that makes any sense.

This is not a comment on the colors, but it's wierd to observe...JSB is really about the same shade as 65-66 Naussau Blue, maybe a little lighter, but it is a totally different color because of the, er...inner glow.

Don't look for Bright Blue soon...the General seems committed to interior colors that soil easily or basic black (Ebony). That new Sienna wrap might be interesting...if I could think of an exterior color that went with it.

                  Congrats on the new Vette.

                    You've got one on order???

Somehow I never thought another Corvette would enter your stable.
We'll talk at Bloomington about that. Mine will be built in early November if all goes as planned.

                      Re: OK by me

Mine is an '08, and a little bird told me it will be built in late August -- 4000 serial number range. So far it is Ebony interior. If I have to, I'll get the bright blue interior (or at least seat covers) from someone besides Chevrolet, but I would prefer to get it made that way. Comp Gray wheels, for the moment -- but silver painted would be my choice, if I could. That would be the closest to Ralley wheels. Yes Patrick, there will be a C6 in my garage.
