    '67 SB A/C Alternator Brace

Since several people have asked me to forward this via email to them for various reasons, I have decided to post it for everyone. If you save the image to your computer and print it on 8 1/2" x 11" paper, I believe it should be a full size tracing of the upper portion of my alternator brace. I performed the first partial disassembly of 'Old Blue' since its completion in 1994 and no further disassembly will occur in the near future. (Why mess with a good thing?) I believe Joe Lucia, with his vast resources, has or could provide the listed dimensions of this alternator brace.

This brace is, AFAIK and according to the THREE previous owners, the original brace installed on my '67 327/300 A/C Corvette during initial assembly.

    Regards,
    Kent Keech

    Kent,

What's the slot opening dimension. Dale Schafer sent me a drawing and needs to know. Also the dimension center of top hole at slot to bottom hole.

Haven't had a chance to check mine but my brace is for a no A/C 67/327/300. Your dimensions would be useful to Dale.

      Hi Jerry:

My C60 alternator brace is presently off the car so I sent Dale a tracing. He says it looks the same as the tracing Kent sent him.

I can send you a tracing of mine if you want. I guess the point of this exercise is to determine whether the C60 brace was the same as the non-C60 brace? In any event, if you want a tracing, let me know.
