Can Anyone tell me what the exact size and dimensions of the shock washers for a 63 Corvette.

Santo, Please refer to the archives as there are at least 500 posts on 63 shock washers. Not trying to be smart but honest to God there is. For best example type in Robert Jorjorian as he posted some nice pics of the original washers. Good luck on finding those. John

Shock washers currently available under GM #25628204 are very similar to the original 63 pieces. They are not exact in every way, but they are very similar. They cost 67 cents each.

Santo, Found my shock washers on a 63 Buick. I guess in that era our washers were used quite a bit. 100% correct in every way. John

I ordered shock washers from GM based on Joe's Number.
We don't have many bone yards around here that have old cars, but I will look around to see if I can find a vintage 63 GM auto that might have the shock washers.
We were having a discussion on 63 shock washers, all I remember seeing are small diameter washers not the same size as late 64 and up.I was hoping to get a diameter so I would a least know who was correct.

The 1963 shock upper retainers were 1-1/4" OD. The present retainers, GM #25628204 are just about the same OD and configuration.
