    Accelerator Pedal Screws

    Hello, all,

What does the 5th Edition of the 1965 TIM&JG say about the cross-slotted mounting screws for the accelerator pedal. Does it say zinc, per the 3rd and 4th editions, or has the wording been changed to "black phosphate".
The very well written article by Mr. Cohen, in the last Restorer has prompted me to ask this question. I know, that I should actually BUY the Fifth Edition, to supplement my very well written Third and Fourth editions, but I have not yet done so.
    Thank you in advance.

    Joe

    Joe,

The Juging Manual states that the pedal is secured with two cadmium or zinc plated Phillips screws.

Thanks John. You looked in the Fifth Edition, right?
The change and/or discrepancy must be with the '63 or '64 model year(s), then.

          Re: Ahhhh Good to hear

Good to hear that the 64 are zinc instead of black. I had to find some black ones to replace what I believed to be originals (still have, I've learned the hard way)
