    '66 steering box to frame attaching hardware

    I'm trying to determine the original finish on the lock washers and nuts that go on the black phosphate carriage bolts attaching the steering box to the frame. They appear to be have been natural.

      "Plain" finish, 21/64" thick, and of GM 286M material grade (SAE grade 5).
