C2 63 shifter

want to reinstall original shifter in my 63 coupe which has hurst shifter currently installed. anyone know if linkage has to be changed?

Yes, the Hurst linkage is not compatible with the Corvette Shifter.

For C2's 64 up somebody makes a look alike top end that fits the hurst under. Not sure if they make for 63 also, but ask!
If planning to have judged then you may want to return to old stuff, howver the hurst is so much better, (only my opion)

My 63 had a Hurst shifter and I replaced it with an original late 63 shifter. I purchased the correct linkage from Vette Products. The shifter works fine. Just a note; the 63 shifter for a Muncie is a little different from a BW T-10 shifter.

do not have linkage so will probably hold off until i have the chance to drive one with original shifter before i invest in linkage, like the way my car shifts now but think the original looks better. not enough to buy a fake lever though. no plans to have my car judged, and i personally feel the hurst is as much or more period correct as original. EVERYONE that i knew in my school years had a hurst in their car, including my 68 c3 convertible, 327-350hp.
