    C-3 expansion tank straps

    Could someone tell me if the steel straps holding my expansion tank are natural or were they painted a color? Mine are pretty rusted and I can't tell. My car is a 69 427-390 horse. Thanks for the help. Mark

      They were NOT painted. They were zinc plated.
