OK. Here is the follow up to my question below. I have been trying to research my 57. I've gotten as far back as the original owners name, and I believe that he is deceased. I'm hoping to find any family that might have pictures or info about the car.
Here is what I think I know about the first owner.
His name was Art Janowski (not sure about spelling). He worked at Nickey Chevrolet in Chicago as a mechanic. I've talked to a guy named Lindy Lindheimer who was the racing team manager and the manager of the Corvette Department at Nickey Chevrolet. He is the one who gave me Arts name, but he doesn't know anything about any family members.
I've even found one of the sons of the orginal Nickey owners and he doesn't have any info on Art either.
I've called many of the Janowski's that I can find in IL and no one seems to know anything about him at all.
Does anyone here have any recollections of Nickey Chevorlet and possibly Art himself.
Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.
Ashley
