    C2 Starter

Hi all, there are two connections on my c2 starter, one with the letter S and one with R.
I figure the S is to make te starter relais operate, but what is the purpose of the S connection?

    Hope someone helps me out.
    kind regards

Pieter lives in the Netherlands. Can a 64 owner with an AIM scan in the starter page with the wire colors identified and post it or email it to Pieter.

      Thanks

s is the purple wire to engage starter during cranking and s is the pink wire that provides power to the coil or ballast resister

          Abbreviations...

Commonly the 'S' mark indicates the 'Start' terminal of the solenoid while the 'R' mark means 'Run'. As explained above, it deals with bypassing the ballast resistor during engine cranking to give maximum power to the ignition circuit, then switching the ballast resistor into the ignition circuit once the engine fires to maximize coil and point life in the ignition circuit...
